On the 7th art photo exhibition “Rovinj Photodays” 2014, from the total of 10304 photos received from 30 states, the member of the photo cinema club “Kozjak”, Gligor Maksimovski won the third prize in the category “Act”.
“Rovinj Photodays” which, in the previous six years, has been open only for the Croatian contemporary photography, this year has opened its doors for the whole European photo scene. All the finalists from this year`s competition are entitled to participate in a traveling group exhibition, and the winners are awarded with the traditional statue “Kadar” (Shot).
The main selector in this year`s competition is one of the world`s most influential photo experts- Tod Papageorge. Best known for his 30 years of leading role in the graduate studies in photography at the American College “Yale University school of Art”. Many great photographers were born under his influence, like Philipa-Lorce diCorcie, Lois Connor, Abelarda Morella, Gregorya Crewdsona, An My Le, Katy Grannan, Richarda Mossea etc.
It is worth mentioning that we also had another three of our members in the final round, competing for the award.
The members of PCC Kozjak will continue with their creative and exhibition activities, as well as winning awards in the field of art photography.
